Alafia Nicole Sessions

After graduating from UC Berkeley, emerging poet Alafia Nicole Sessions returned to her native Los Angeles where she currently works as an educator, writer, actress, herbalist, full spectrum doula and alternative health practitioner. Her poetry has been published or is forthcoming in Antioch University’s Lunch Ticket, Glint Literary Journal, Snapdragon: A Journal of Art & Healing, and The Sonora Review. Alafia was a finalist for the 2019 Writing by Writers’ Emerging Voices Fellowship at Esalen Institute and was accepted into the 2022 James Baldwin Writers Conference.
