Volume 1, Issue 1 (Spring/Summer 1987)

We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming 25th Anniversary Retrospective issue, out later this spring.  This issue will celebrate the very best poetry, interviews, and essays on poetry from the magazine’s first quarter-century.

We’ll also have a special “Talk Back” section where writers respond to the work they originally published in GMR, assessing the literary climate that spawned their work and analyzing how their responses to it have changed or remained constant over time.

We’ll feature essays and interviews by Hayden Carruth, Stephen Dunn, Alice Fulton, John Haines, Major Jackson, David Mura, Carol Muske-Dukes, Molly Peacock, David St. John, Derek Walcott, Joe Wenderoth, David Wojahn, Mark Wunderlich, and others.

And of course there will be poems, poems, poems: by Mark Doty, Lynn Emanuel, B.H. Fairchild, Carol Frost, Albert Goldbarth, Linda GreggEamon Grennan, Bob Hicok, Jane Hirshfield, H.L.
